Important things to keep in mind BEFORE you BEGIN looking for your Dream Dress! Follow these helpful tips to help you find your dream wedding dress.
1. Wedding Venue and Date... LOCK IT DOWN
The location you choose sets a tone, creating a certain look or "theme" to your wedding. If you're not sure if you want to get married at the beach, winery, industrial building, castle, in the woods, how can you make sure that your dress will be appropriate for that look? If you are getting married in the fall versus the summer, you may want a dress that has sleeves or no sleeves, etc. These certain factors are important to keep in mind.
2. Find your Wedding Dress Style... Research
Start by creating a Private Pinterest Board. Start adding dresses that you are gravitating towards. Then look at all of them as a whole and see if you have any similarities such as Designer, Silhouettes, Fabric, and Details. You now will have a better idea of what style you are looking for.
3. Create a Wedding Dress Budget... Get Organized
Now that you’ve found some styles you are interested in. Look up what those dresses range from. If you have your overall wedding budget this will help you narrow down what you would like to keep your price range to.
4. Try On Wedding Dresses... Keep an open mind
Sometimes what you like, might not look fabulous on you, and that's okay. Sometimes what you wouldn’t have picked out, does look fantastic on you! Your bridal stylist might throw in some other dresses that you wouldn’t have picked for yourself. It’s important to keep an open mind. If you simply don’t like something that is one thing, but if you don’t think you can wear a certain style that's another. Remember you are trying to find your dream dress. If you automatically dismiss a silhouette you think may not look on you, you may be missing out on what does!
